The licensee shall carry the license when participating in hunting or fishing or other form of take. Take means pursuing, shooting, hunting, fishing, trapping, killing, capturing, snaring, or netting wildlife. Wildlife includes all wild mammals, wild birds, reptiles, amphibians, mollusks, crustaceans and fish.<\/p>\n<p>FISHING LICENSE \u2013 A valid Arizona fishing license is required for Arizona resident and non-resident anglers 14 years of age or older fishing any public accessible water in Arizona. Youth under the age of 14 and blind residents do not need to purchase a state fishing license to fish in Arizona. Check the <span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.azgfd.gov\/h_f\/fishing_rules.shtml\">Arizona Fishing Regulations<\/a><\/span> for additional information.<\/p>\n<p><em>Residency Requirements<\/em><br \/>\nIn general, an Arizona resident is a person who has been a bona fide resident of the state of Arizona for six months immediately preceding the date of application for a license or a member of the armed forces who has been stationed in Arizona for a period of 30 days immediately preceding the date of application for a license. Arizona Residents may purchase a resident license. All other individuals must purchase a nonresident license. For additional information, <span style=\"color: #333333\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.azgfd.gov\/eservices\/documents\/Resedency_Fact_Sheet.pdf\">click here<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Lost License Replacement<\/em><br \/>\nLost or destroyed licenses may be replaced for a fee at any Arizona Game and Fish Department <span style=\"color: #333333\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.azgfd.gov\/eservices\/documents\/LicenseDealerListNov2010.pdf\">license dealer.<\/a><\/span><br \/>\nAn applicant for a duplicate license will be required to sign an affidavit attesting that the applicant purchased an original license.<\/p>\n<p><em>NEW!<\/em> <em>Buying a License Online<br \/>\n<\/em>A variety of hunting and fishing licenses are available online, including some stamps and temporary nonresident licenses.<br \/>\nTo access the Arizona Game and Fish online license service, <a href=\"https:\/\/az.gov\/app\/huntfish\/home.xhtml\">visit the secure site by clicking here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Buy a License from a License Dealer<br \/>\n<\/em>Arizona hunting and fishing licenses are available for purchase at more than <a href=\"http:\/\/www.azgfd.gov\/eservices\/documents\/DealerMasterDec2010.pdf\">300 license dealers<\/a> located throughout the state. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.azgfd.gov\/eservices\/documents\/DealerMasterDec2010.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Download a list of license dealers sorted by city location by clicking here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>2010 and 2011 Licenses<\/em><br \/>\n2010 and 2011 hunting and fishing license and stamps are available for purchase at all <a href=\"http:\/\/www.azgfd.gov\/inside_azgfd\/agency_directory.shtml\">Arizona Game and Fish Department offices<\/a>, at more than <a href=\"http:\/\/www.azgfd.gov\/eservices\/documents\/DealerMasterDec2010.pdf\">300 license dealers statewide,<\/a> and online. All licenses and stamps sold are valid for a calendar year from January 1 to December 31. The Family Licenses, Super Conservation Licenses, and the Lifetime License cannot be purchased through the hunt permit drawing process, but must be purchased prior to submitting a hunt permit application. Starting Nov. 1, 2010, state and urban 2010 fishing licenses go on sale for half price.
